OBITUARY
Lovingly known as Lilah to many and Elaine by many others,
Lilah Elaine Harris Garner, age 84 of Monroe, passed away on July 14,
2025. She was born in Savannah, GA on March 3, 1941 to the late Dewey
Sutton Harris and the late Alma Frisbee Harris. She was preceded in death
by a grandchild, Evan.
She attended Sacred Heart High School, followed by Grady School of Nursing. She spent over 25 years at Emory
University Hospital in Patient Financial Services. She was a member of First
Baptist Church of Loganville.
Lilah was content in her "nest" surrounded by family. Family was her true circle of love,
laughter, and a full life.
Surviving are: daughter, Charlotte Garner McKinney-Smith
(Weaks); sons, Adam Garner (Patty) and Jason Garner (Becky); 4 grandchildren;
Jacob (Allie), Ryan (Morgan), Emily Bailey (Anderson), Stephen, and 6 great grandchildren; Paislee, Beckham,
Charlee, Sutton, Waylon, Lainey.
A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th at
10:00am in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Kendall
officiating. Interment will follow at Luxomni Baptist Church Cemetery in
Lilburn, GA.
