Lillian Case Obituary

Lillian Millie Case of Lisbon, ND passed away January 15, 2025 at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin, ND.
She was born to John and Albina Pribula at home on a farm outside East Grand Forks on September 15,1931. She was the youngest of seven children, with three brothers and three sisters. After graduating 8th grade in a one room country schoolhouse, she helped her dad drill water wells while her brothers were off fighting in WWII. While working in Grand Forks she met and married Jerome Michalski and to that union were born five children: Dale, Dawn, Debra, Mark and Diane.
In December 1962 Jerry was diagnosed with leukemia, and passed away on Memorial Day of 1963. Lillian worked and raised her children in Cottage Grove, MN as a widow for eight years before meeting and marrying Dale Case of Milnor, ND. Dale, a rancher, adopted and helped Lil raise her kids, eventually retiring from ranching and enjoying summers at their lake home in Minnesota.
When Dale was diagnosed with cancer, they sold the lake home to return to the ranch full time. They raised a huge garden, with Lillian producing many jars of canned goods, especially pickled beets and blueberry rhubarb jam!
After Dale passed away in 2000, Lillian and her youngest daughter, Diane, moved to Lisbon, ND. Lillian, a devout life-long Catholic joined St. Aloysius Church and became a "prayer warrior", praying for all those who entered her life.
Declining health dictated a move to Maryhill Manor in Enderlin, ND to receive assisted living services. Maryhill was her home for nearly four years where she touched the lives and hearts of both residents and caregivers. She will be missed there.
She is survived by four children, Dale (Solveig), Dawn, Debra, and Mark (Barb), eight grandchildren: Kelly, Christopher, Matthew, Andrea, Chance, Patric, Kirby and Jacob, and eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jalen, Kyliana, Dystinee, Griffin, Marley, Florence and Olsen.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jerome and Dale, her daughter, Diane and her great-grandson, Tate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Lisbon. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery near Lisbon. Lillian's service will be livestreamed on her obituary page.
