Linda Andreas Thompson, 67 of
Livingston, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025 with family and friends by her side. Born on December 29, 1957 in Baytown, Texas, Linda was the cherished daughter of Jake W. and Mary Lou Andreas. She was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and was actively involved in Rainbow Girls and Girl Scouts, enjoyed performing in high school band concerts with Doc Severinsen, and volunteered as a candy striper during high school. Linda was a proud member of the Cedar Bayou Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She met the love of her life, Rocky Thompson, and they were married on January 21, 1983. The two shared 42 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love and laughter.
Linda retired from the legal department at Exxon and later moved to Polk County, Texas to be closer to her family. Never one to sit still, she returned to work at her nephew's local firm, Phillips and Andreas, PLLC as a legal assistant for Bobby Phillips, Jr. She was so proud of the firm and enjoyed working there so much.
Linda loved to love on people. She lived a life of doing for others before herself and had a heart of compassion. She shared a love of travel, taking many trips with her husband Rocky and never passed up on her annual getaways with dear friends who became chosen sisters. Her greatest joy came from being "Grandma" and "Aunt Lou Lou," as she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Linda found joy in preparing meals and finding gifts to celebrate seasons, birthdays, and achievements of those close to her. It was important to her to attend all birthdays, recitals, graduations, weddings, ballgames and special occasions near and far. Family get-togethers or just a quick weekly dinner delighted her. She always wanted everyone to know how important they were to her. In her final days here on earth, she had meaningful conversations reminding those close to her how important they were, that they mattered, they were beautiful and how proud she was of them.
Dragonflies were very dear to her heart. Linda was always a daddy's girl. The bond she shared with her late father, Jake W. Andreas was filled with love, laughter and a little mischief. Shortly after his passing, a dragonfly flew close by and from that day forward, she believed dragonflies were his way of saying hello. She began collecting dragonflies, and to her, they were delicate, graceful and beautiful just as Linda was to all of us. Now, when we see a dragon fly, we can smile and remember Linda, knowing she is near.
Linda is preceded in death by her father Jake. W. Andreas and is survived by her devoted husband Rocky Thompson, her loving mother Mary Lou Andreas, her daughter Jessica and husband Brady Corbitt. Stepdaughter, Mary Tate and those children she loved as her own; Stephanie and husband Joseph Tuma, and Jason Lambert. Her grandchildren; Lynsie Wilson and husband Samuel, Joseph Tate and wife Gandy, Isabella Clark and husband Kolby, Patrick Mireles, R.J. Jackson, Allen Corbitt III, Anna Tate, Adyn Corbitt, and Dylan Tuma. Her great grandchildren; Cambria Hernandez and Alice Tate. Sister-in-law, Jo James. Brother Tracy Andreas and wife Betty, nephew Dustin Andreas and wife Jessica, great nieces and nephews, Hailey Smith, Ella Eastepp, Easton Eastepp, Drake Andreas, and Fowler Andreas. A host of beloved cousins, extended family, and close friends who brought laughter, light, and support to her life.
