Linda Bridges Obituary
She was born December 25, 1945, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Regal and Venus Lawrence Funderburg.
She graduated from Grapevine High School.
She started doing seamstress work from her home which later turned into Linda's Monogramming. She enjoyed helping her husband in the garden and canning. She would do a lot of the hard work only to enjoy giving the fruits of her labor to others.
Together with her husband she helped take care of Lee Cemetery, a position they held for many years.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Billy George Bridges, who passed away on January 5, 2025. They were married on July 6, 1963. Also preceding her were her parents.
Survivors include two sons, James Bridges and wife, Yvonne, and Chris Bridges; two grandchildren, Amanda Smith and husband, Drew, and Jamie Bridges; a sister, Nelda Traywick; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family, along with numerous honorary grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, followed by funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Private burial will be in Lee Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Lee Cemetery, 12500 Sulphur Springs Rd., Pine Bluff, AR 71603 or Jefferson County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2233, Pine Bluff, AR 71613-2233.
