Linda Brookbank Obituary

Linda L. Brookbank, 77 of Liberty passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was born on January 12, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio to Walter Golden Anders and Sallie Mae Hammons Anders.

Linda was a faithful member of Liberty Church of Christ.

On October 4, 1980 she married Brian Brookbank in Oxford, Ohio.

Linda attended Hanover Schools and went to Talawanda High School where she was a 1966 graduate. After high school she went to a business school for 2 years.

Linda began her working career at General Telephone, where she worked for 27 years. After she retired from GTE, she then went onto work at Union County Middle School in the computer lab for 2 years. She wasn't done working yet after the middle school, she finished out her working career at Miami University for 16 years where she worked with computers there.

After retiring she became very busy with her church, being a 4H leader, being involved in the Home Economics Club in Liberty, the historical society, a leader of Farm Bureau and the most important job was helping her husband on the farm. Linda was a dedicated woman who gave 110% to every job and organization she was a part of. She left a long lasting impact on all those who her life had touched.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Brian; her children, Christine (Terry) Leak, Duane (Tabitha) Brookbank , Tim Brookbank and Jonathan (Brittany) Brookbank; her 12 grandchildren and her brother, Wayne (Peggy) Anders.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Aaron Anders.

The Brookbank family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hoke and the staff at Kettering Health in Fort Hamilton for their exceptional care, kindness and support during this time.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Liberty Church of Christ, 102 S. Main St., Liberty. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the church with Pastor David Soper officiating. Burial will follow in College Corner Cemetery.
