Linda Carol Doolen, 78, of Los Alamos-beloved sister, aunt, and friend-died in White Rock.
Linda was born to Gilbert Lowe Doolen and Mabel Lois Headley Doolen of Kinmundy, Illinois. In 1969, she graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree.
She retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Linda had a lifelong love of nature and animals, especially cats. She enjoyed hiking in the Jemez Mountains. She also loved to travel and visited many countries, including Ireland, Japan, and Mexico-often with her brother John or cousin Shari Crockett.
She and her long-time companion, Richard Bagley, traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, including memorable trips to Nova Scotia.
Linda requested to be cremated. Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations handled local arrangements. A memorial will be held later in Kinmundy.
