Linda Lou Novem Griggs, 77, of Iron City, TN, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1948, in Iron City, she was the daughter of the late Hershal Malone and Mittie Novem Staggs.
On October 10, 1966, she found her partner in life, marrying the love of her life, Alvin Lee Griggs. Together, they built a warm and loving home, where Linda's nurturing spirit truly shone. As a devoted homemaker, she found joy in creating a welcoming space for her family, and her love for gardening blossomed into a beautiful hobby.
Linda's passion for life extended beyond her home; she adored spending quality time with her family, always bringing laughter and joy to those around her. Whether it was dancing, singing karaoke, or simply enjoying precious moments together, her spirit was infectious, and she truly embodied a zest for life.
Linda will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, her vivacity, and the lasting impact she had on the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Lee Griggs of Iron City, TN; son, Rickey Lee Griggs of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Anna Griggs (Tyler) of Waynesboro, TN, and Timothy Griggs (Amber) of Waynesboro, TN; and great grandchildren, Brylie Cruce, Brynklie Cruce, Jeremiah Griggs, Timber Griggs, Teslie Thompson, and Jaybree Linville.
She is preceded by her parents, Hershal Malone and Mittie Novem Staggs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Paul Odle officiating. Burial will follow in Shields Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Griggs, Kevin Griggs, Cody Reeves, Lester Dixon, and Chris Cruce.
