1950-2025
Linda Sue Kious was born at home in a rural Pattonsburg, Missouri farm house on May 29, 1950, to Gordon and Emma Goldena (Lowrey) Macrander and passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the age of 75.
She graduated in 1968 from Coffey High School in Coffey, Missouri as valedictorian. She then attended IBM Business College in Kansas City and later Trenton Junior College in Trenton, MO.
Linda was married to David Carter and had a son, Paul Carter. They were later divorced. Linda was proudly employed by UMB Bank in the Kansas City area. Linda married John S. Kious in 1980.
Linda loved working in her garden and raising her delicious tomatoes until she became sick and disabled due to MS. She will be missed by her husband of 45 years, John, along with friends and family.
Always cheerful and everything was great, fine and fantastic through her illness and passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Carter; sister, Peggy (Jack) Robertson and their son, Michael.
Linda is survived by her husband, John, of the home; granddaughter, Chelsea (Jake) Sprague, Cameron, MO; her stepchildren, Stacy (Bryan) Oltjenbrun, Branson West, MO; Angela Kious, Kansas City, MO; two great grandchildren, Carter Sprague and Cremello Sprague, Cameron, MO; step grandchildren, Austin Colmar, Richmond, MO, Marissa Colmar, Kansas City, MO, Kaden Kious and Jacob Kious both of Branson West, MO; and sisters, Judy Bright, Santa Rosa, CA and Ina (JL) McFee, Gallatin, MO.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the MS Society in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
