Linda Colleen Thurston age 72 of Cedar Springs, left this earth for heaven, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at The Brook of Cedar Springs. She was born August 3, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Raymond and Thelma (Tisdel) Gillespie Sr. Colleen enjoyed camping, boating, hunting and fishing, horseback riding, the outdoors and making macrame chairs. She loved her family. Surviving are two stepchildren, Gale Thurston, Adeana Thurston; siblings, Edwin (Nancy) Gillespie, Debra Merlington & Bruce Duncan, Diane (Ed) Sipka; in-laws, Darlene (Joseph) Dawood, Dawn (Reg) Klooster, Danette (Bob) Martin; lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Thurston; stepson, Paul Thurston; parents; siblings, Raymond (Dee Higgins) Gillespie Jr., Darlene St. John, Leonard Gillespie, Lanny Gillespie. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 20 at 2:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Please stay to the left as you go through the cemetery, the grave is in the southwest area of the cemetery. Pastor Dylan Mason officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Cure International Children's Hospitals. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
