RICHMOND, IN Linda L. VanWinkle, age 77, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Arbor Trace.
Born August 24, 1947, in Henry County, Indiana, to Ralph Edward and Margaret Lou Conway Clawson, Linda lived most of her life in this community. She was a high school graduate and worked as a sales associate for Walmart. Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. She loved her pigs. Linda enjoyed playing cards, singing, sewing and writing poems. She was independent and didnt like for anyone to do anything for her.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary and Angie Alvey, both of Richmond, Indiana; 2 grandsons; brother, David (Gay) Clawson; and stepdaughters, Nita (Mike) Ball, Niata (Paul) Gayheart, and Stacy (Tad) Schrock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine E. VanWinkle; parents; siblings, Bob Clawson, Keith Clawson, Eddie Clawson; sisters, Judy and Ruth Ann.
Visitation for Linda L. Vanwinkle will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Wagers officiating. Burial will follow in Zions Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
