Lisa M. DiBella, 67, a longtime resident of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2025, in the company of her loving family.

Lisa was born June 16, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Johanna “Jane” (née Picciolo) and Armand DiBella. Lisa dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her professional career and in her personal life. As a devoted and compassionate nurse, she spent decades providing comfort, strength, and healing to her patients, embodying the very best of what it means to serve others.

Lisa was a proud and loving mother to her two children, Luke and Rachel, whom she adored dearly, and who loved her absolutely. A strong and empathetic woman, she faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience, especially during her courageous five-year battle with cancer. Through it all, she remained a source of strength and love for her family.

Lisa leaves behind a legacy of compassion, perseverance, strength, and love that will continue to live on in those she held close.

Lisa is survived by her children, Luke Zimmermann (Aaron Dempsey), Rachel Zimmermann (John Coleman), her sister Gina DiBella, her brother Greg DiBella, her former husband Steve Zimmermann, and her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN. A private funeral service will be held at a later date at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL
