Lisa Gross-Haar, age 49, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Lisa Rosemarie was born to Byron and Sunny Gross on August 7, 1975, at Glendale, AZ at Luke Air Force Base. They moved twice to Minot Air Force Base, Minot, ND and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, while her dad was in the Air Force. She always said she was an Air Force Brat.
She was very young when her mother passed away in April of 1987. She continued to live with her dad and brothers in the winter and in Eureka with her Grandparents in the summer.
When her dad retired in 1988, they moved to Aberdeen where she finished her education.
Even though her marriage to Chad Haar didn't work out she was blessed with 2 wonderful sons.
For many years she worked nights passing medications and supervising employees at several Assisted Living and Nursing Homes in the Aberdeen and Watertown area. She was a very caring person and working with the elderly fulfilled her dreams.
In 2016 she met Ken Rinderneck and in 2018 they moved to Arlington, SD along with Ken's boys. She was a member of the Arlington American Legion Auxiliary.
She loved long rides in the country and sitting on the banks watching Ken fish. She loved rooting for the Jackrabbits and even braved the cold and windy weather to go to the Jack's football games.
She is survived by her sons, Christian (Reno) and Zane, 2 grandsons, Oliver and Remington, Grandmother Erna Gross, older brothers, Bob and Chris, and their younger brother Mike and their families. Aunt and Uncle Paulette and Joe Fettig and their family, Her significance other Ken Rinderneck and his boys Kooper and Ayden and Ken's Mom Penny. Along with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Sunny, both grandfathers and 1 grandmother.
Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
