Lisa Jaster Jones, 64, of Bowie, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on October 1, 2025. She was born November 14, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Kathy Jaster and William Jaster Sr. Lisa lived in many places throughout her life, including 10 years in Germany in the Air Force, before settling in Bowie in 1995. She recently retired from the Office of Inspector General.
Lisa was a talented craftswoman who enjoyed picture frame making and woodshop and also had a degree in applied science as well as certified surgical technician and a devoted animal lover who cared for seven rescue horses. She will be remembered as a caring, strong, and incredibly smart mom who always spoke her truth and was a jack of all trades. She is survived by her sons, Nickolas Jaster of Bowie, and Joshua Jaster and husband Carlin of Bowie; her granddaughter, Amethy Jaster of Bowie; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Michelle Jaster, and her brother William Jaster Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Scott-Morris Funeral Home in Nocona, followed by dinner at Tres Niños.
