Lisa Ann King, 60, of Leasburg, MO, known affectionately as Lisa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born on March 4, 1964, in Lebanon, MO, to her parents, William "Leroy" and Marilyn Copling, Lisa's vibrant spirit and loving heart touched all who knew her throughout her life.
Lisa's early life in Cuba, MO, was filled with the laughter and camaraderie of a large family, as she was one of seven siblings. She carried the close-knit values of her upbringing with her always.
The true love story of Lisa's life began when she married Jim King, her soulmate and partner in every sense. Their loving union was blessed with a daughter, Jamie, who was the center of Lisa's world. Lisa's role as a mother seamlessly transitioned to that of an adoring grandmother, taking an active part in raising Jamie's children. Her grandchildren knew her as a second mother, a testament to her unwavering love and support.
Lisa's professional life was marked by her dedication to her family, as she channeled her energy into assisting Jim with the family business as well as creating a nurturing home. Her passion for life extended to the world around her, as she was deeply involved in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
Music filled Lisa's home and heart; she grew up swaying to the tunes of the Jackson 5, humming along with Paul Anka, and cherishing the melodies of Donnie Osmond. Her appreciation for nature was evident in her joy of watching birds and caring for the deer that frequented her garden. Lisa's pets were also a source of great joy, each one cherished as a member of her family.
Gardening and landscaping were not just hobbies for Lisa; they were expressions of her artistry. Her home was surrounded by the beauty she cultivated, a reflection of her inner spirit. Lisa's fiery spirit shone brightly, her passion for life and love for her family igniting everything she did. Her strong moral compass and firm beliefs were her guideposts, values she instilled in her daughter and grandchildren with unwavering conviction.
She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. In the hearts of those who loved her she will remain always and forever. For the family, this is a tragic loss but faith provides comfort that their loss is Heaven's gain.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her cherished daughter, Jamie Lynn King; her beloved grandchildren: Austin Levi Maserang, Jennifer Elissa Maserang, & Jaelynn Zaylee King-Carr; her mother, Marilyn Coping; her siblings: Tammy Andrews, Diane Hubbard, Sharron Pitts, Dennis Copling, Kenny Copling, and Kevin Copling; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Leroy Copling; parents-in-laws, Wesley & Joyce King; special nephew, Kevin "Pudge" Dylan Copling; and brother-in-law, Timothy "Tim" King.
According to Lisa's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Cremation has taken place.
