It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lloyd Cecil Williams Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at the age of 73. Lloyd was born on June 4th, 1952, and was a cherished resident of Vernon Hill, VA.
Lloyd was a devoted family man, survived by his beloved wife, Jennie Lynn Williams, who stood by his side throughout their life together. He was the proud father of Angela Fern Williams and her partner, Jason Kite and Lloyd Cecil Williams III and his partner, Candace Cassada, and daughter in law, Theresa Williams. Lloyd’s legacy of love and wisdom will continue through his eight cherished grandchildren: Cynthia, Keith, Lydia, Andrew, Brittany, Robert, Cassady, and Leia, as well as his six great-grandchildren. He was also a treasured brother to Lydia Alice Dixon (Royce), Cindy Bosher, Ben Williams, and Lisa Mozingo.
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd Cecil Williams Sr. and Lydia Williams, his son Cameron Cecil Williams, and his brothers Donald Mac Williams and Michael Lee Williams.
In his professional life, Lloyd was a dedicated and skilled sheet metal mechanic. He honorably served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his commitment to his country. Beyond his work and military service, Lloyd found joy in life’s simple pleasures; he was an avid fisherman and found great delight in spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to theme parks, making countless memories that they will hold dear forever. His faithful dogs were constant companions, bringing him happiness and comfort.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Lloyd’s life will be held at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Java, VA, on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at 11:00 am.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects and share the many cherished memories of Lloyd’s life. The arrangements for this celebration have been lovingly provided by Brooks-Lyon Funeral Home.
