Lois Angle, age 87, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls, SD. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 4, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Volga, SD. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois W. Angle, the daughter of Nels and Rose (Behrend) Nelson, was born on April 11, 1938, in Volga, SD. She attended and graduated from Estelline High School, class of 1956. Lois married the love of her life, William Angle, on August 4, 1957. They had two children; Billy Jo and Robin.
In her younger years, Lois stayed very busy. She worked at HeadStart, a preschool in Brookings, she worked as a receptionist at the vet clinic in Volga, and of course, worked at the Voting Poles for elections. She spent a number of years being a representative for Avon products. Above all these jobs, she took care of her children at home.
Lois was an avid bowler, bowling every week during league. She enjoyed her cats at home and love camping in the yard with friends and family. In her free time, you could find Lois doing word finding puzzles, quilting or crocheting pot holders.
In retirement, Lois and William enjoyed spending their time at their cabin out in the black hills, sometimes, months at a time. She kept him busy, putting his wood working abilities to good use.
Lois was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Volga, SD.
Lois is survived by her two child-in-laws, Jeff Nelson and Josee Angle; four grandchildren, Dustyn Nelson, Desiree Schmidt, Olivia Rose Angle and Ethan William Angle.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Angle, parents, Nels and Rose (Behrend) Nelson, children, Billy Jo and Robin, two brothers, Paul and Noel Nelson.
