Lois Josephine Bright Dacus, 85, of the Beaverdam community in Chadbourn, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, June 28, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Lois was born on April 18, 1940, daughter of the late William Arthur Bright and Eudell Long Todd. In addition, she was also preceeded in death by her grandson, Matthew Turbeville, and her siblings, Jerry Bright and Charles Bright.

Funeral services, with Pastor Bill Negron officiating, will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home, with the visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, SC.

Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Harold Dacus of the home; children, Donna Turbeville (Glenn), Lisa Nobles (Danny), Scott Buffkin (Amie); step-children, Mike Dacus (Jennifer), Renee Brooks (Dale), Beth Evans (Scott); sister, Eunice Sellers (Gene); 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Angel House or to Donayre Cancer Care Center.
