Obituary of Lois E. Reynolds

Lois Elizabeth Reynolds, 106, passed away peacefully in her home on July 18, 2025.

Lois was born May 31, 1919 to Marion Gick Reynolds and Edwin Trowbridge Reynolds in the 18th century family homestead on Route 35, Cross River, NY. She had 2 siblings, Robert Edwin and Joyce Marion Reynolds, both deceased.

Lois grew up in Cross River on the family farm, attended school locally, and worshipped at The Cross River Baptist Church which her forefathers helped to found in 1789.

At the age of 22 she moved to Buffalo NY to work for the NY Central RR. Upon her retirement in 1984, she returned to the family home in Cross River which she shared with her sister Joyce. Together they enjoyed traveling to visit family (near and far), gardening, attending and serving on the board of the Cross River Baptist Church, and participating with the Lewisboro Seniors, where Lois was president for a term. Lois was inducted into the Westchester County Senior Hall of Fame in the 1990's. Most of all she enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching all the wildlife.

Lois was blessed with a loving family, enriched by 3 nephews, David (deceased), Kenneth, and Richard and niece Carol-Ann, 2 grandnieces, 4 grandnephews, 2 great-grandnieces, and 5 great-grandnephews. All gathered at the family home to celebrate Lois's recent birthday.

Family and friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd, Katonah, NY 1 0536 on Thursday, July 24th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.

The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 25th 10:30 to 11:30 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Bedford Union Cemetery, Clinton Road, Bedford, NY.
