Lois Nell Wren, born on August 26, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to Henry Franklin and Genella Ina Wren passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 22, 2025, in Seabrook, Texas.
Lois was known by all who loved her as intelligent, quick-witted, occasionally sassy, but always paired with a bold and playful sense of humor. A strong and accomplished businesswoman, she was consistently poised and impeccably put together. Her love for animals began early in life, inspired by the exotic pets her father would bring home. Lois had a passion for travel, sunny days at the beach, sailing, exploring new restaurants, and of course shopping. But above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially her two beloved sons.
She enjoyed a long and successful career as an accountant in the petrochemical industry before retiring in 2021. Following her retirement, she embraced a well-deserved period of leisure, spending cherished time visiting with friends and family. In her final years, Lois made her home at a senior living community where she formed many meaningful friendships and loved introducing everyone to her adored dog, Tulie. With her vibrant spirit, wit, and charm, she left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She will be missed by her brothers, Larry and Gary Wren; her sons, John Henry Koon Jr. "JJ" and his wife Eileen, and Jason Koon; her cherished grandchildren, Julia Koon and John Henry Koon III "JT"; countless treasured family members and her beloved dog, Tulie. Lois also leaves behind many dear friends, especially her two best friends, Mary Botkin and Vicia Collins, whose unwavering love, laughter, and companionship were a constant source of joy, love and strength.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, loved her, and were lucky enough to laugh with her.
In lieu of flowers and gifts please donate to a pet charity of your choice.
