Funeral services for Lola Pearl Wood, age 97 will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA with James Festervand officiating. Interment will follow at Gateway Cemetery, Vivian, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Wood was born in Texas to William Thomas Williams and Tina Eathel Mason and passed away on May 1, 2025 in Shreveport, LA. She loved to read her Bible, loved to quilt, go to yard sales and spend time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Wood is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Oscar Lee Monk and George Wood; her siblings; two sons, Tommy Monk and Samuel R. Monk; granddaughter, Darla Whatley and great-great grandson, Chase Stevens.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Shirley Monk Fedd of Shreveport, LA, Lola Stevens Williams and Jean Vick both of Vivian, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sharon Fedd Festervand and husband, Randy, Samantha Monk and fiancé, Michael Williams, Lara Chubb, Thomas Monk, Jr and wife, Becky, Michelle Williams, Jeannie Roberson, Albert Clyde “Bubba” Stevens, Jr and wife, Pam, Sherry Rice, Chris Stevens and wife, Rachal, Andy Stevens and wife Alena, Charles Wayne Hill, Douglas Ray Vick and wife, Sylvia and Robby Johnson; 16 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Honoring Mrs. Wood as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Festervand, Michael Williams and Robby Johnson.
