It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorenzo O. Lopez of Aguilar, Colorado. He entered into rest, August 4, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on September 14, 1964, in Artesia, New Mexico, to Angelita and Manuel Lopez. Lorenzo was 60 years of age.

Lorenzo is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Latrecia Lopez of Aguilar, Colorado; his daughters, Amanda Le'Ann (Armando) Armendariz of Cadillac, Michigan, Sarah (Alex Garza) Lopez of Aguilar, Colorado; and his cherished grandchildren: Adriel Lopez, Eli'Xandro Lopez, Jovany Lopez, Arazelia Armendariz, Camila Garza, and Citalia Garza. He is also survived by his brothers, Frank Lopez, Sam Lopez, and Leo Lopez; and his sisters, Lydia Robles, Mary Acosta, Alice Herrera, Hope Luz, and Lupe Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelita and Manuel Lopez; his brothers, Pete Lopez, Joe Lopez, Manuel Lopez, Jr., and two infant siblings; baby brother Lopez and his baby sister Lopez, and Elva Hernandez.

Lorenzo lived a full and passionate life. He enjoyed raising money maker roosters, racing horses, listening to music, and singing. He was a talented cook who loved barbequing, camping, swimming, fishing and he especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren. Lorenzo loved animals, whether taking his dogs Zena and Harly to the lake or bringing home animals to delight his grandchildren. Lorenzo's love for family and animals shone brightly.

Above all, Lorenzo loved his family and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. He was a special person whose generosity and warmth touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by friends and family alike.

A Funeral Service celebrating Lorenzo's life will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 8, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Trinidad, Colorado at 100 South Walnut Street.
