It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Mae Marsicano on October 23, 2025, in Rockport, Texas. She was born September 21, 1935, in Big Fork, Montana, to Elmer Miles Colby and Dorothy May Shipp Colby. Loretta blessed this world with her vibrant spirit for 90 remarkable years, touching the lives of those around her with kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Loretta married Jack Marsicano (passed on February 27, 2021) on January 18, 1973. In the early years of their marriage, she and Jack traveled a lot. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and preserving. She also enjoyed treasure shopping, reading, and she loved her chickens, goats and bees.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robin Marsicano; and her sister, Melba Peterson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy King, Sher Medin (Mike), James (Traci), and Noel; grandchildren, Stuart, Sara, Justine, Carl, Rebecka, Aaron, Thomas, Julie, and Thelma; several great-grandchildren, and one on the way; siblings, Lois Maydoll, Lynn Colby, and Butch Colby.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Rockport Cemetery in Rockport, Tx.
