Louis Dean Gibbins, age 51, passed away on July 4, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.
Born on September 24, 1973, in Miami, Florida, Louis was raised in both Texas and Georgia. He graduated from Laurens County High School in East Dublin, Georgia in 1992. Over the years, he made his home in various places-spending time in Indiana before settling in East Texas in 2010. For the past year, he had resided in West Tawakoni.
Louis was known for his warm spirit and generous heart. Described by those who knew him as a big teddy bear with a heart of gold, he never met a stranger and was always eager to lend a helping hand. His youthful energy and playful nature made him a kid at heart throughout his life.
He loved to fish and found peace in casting a line. He found joy in simple pleasures-playing video games, racing remote control cars, and riding his motorcycle brought him happiness and peace. These hobbies reflected his adventurous side and love for fun.
Louis is lovingly remembered by his father, Billy Charles Gibbins and wife Debbie of Georgia; his mother, Gina Lowery of Indiana; his sisters Mia Liggett and husband Mark, and Tabitha Ball and husband Jeremy; nephews Jacob, Samuel, and Christian; aunt and uncle Vinnie and Pamela Ricciardi of West Tawakoni, Texas; as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and extended family.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
