Louis Hagood Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Louis Reeve Hagood III, a remarkable and multi-talented individual, at the age of 80, on March 12, 2024, at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. The cause was complications from Multiple Myeloma.
A man of diverse accomplishments, Louis earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University, an MBA from the City College of New York, and an M.A. in Psychoanalytic Studies from The New School in New York City.
His professional journey included roles as an engineer, banker, and psychoanalyst. He invested time outside of his work in a variety of associations, including the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, the International Association for the Study of Dreams, and The National Arts Club in NYC.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Carr, his beloved daughter, Caroline Newport Hagood, and his two beloved grandchildren, Max Hagood Gerard and Layla Richards Gerard.
There will be a private family service where Louis' ashes will be scattered at Soldier's Point, his favorite beach in Culebra, Puerto Rico.
