Louise Herrmann, 79 years old, passed peacefully on Tuesday September 23, 2025. She was surrounded by the echoes of her own legend. Early in life she knew what her priority was, and she never wavered from it. She lived life on her terms. An artist whose vibrant colors danced on canvas, a bush pilot who fearlessly soared through Alaskan skies, a cook whose meals warmed hearts as much as they filled bellies, and stubborn as the Alaskan Tundra, Louise lived with an unmatched passion and spirit. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, brothers, and sister. Her granddaughters carry her fire in their hearts, they sketch like her, dream like her, maybe even argue like her. Now she’s painting skies nobody has seen. We grieve her absence but cherish her bite, her love, and the stories that linger like a warm embrace. Rest wild and free Louise!
