Lowell Siekmannn, age 69, of Marshall, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20, 2025, while working in Woodstock, Minnesota. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Living Word Church in Marshall. Following a reception for attendees, interment will be in the Lynd City Cemetery in Lynd, Minnesota. Visitation will be held just prior to his celebration, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, also at the church.
Lowell Dean Siekmann was born on June 6, 1956, in Marshall, Minnesota. He was the son of Roland and Merlene (Wigen) Siekmann. Lowell grew up in Marshall where he was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his youth at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. He attended Lynd schools and graduated there with the high school class of 1974. Lowell went on to work as a farmhand at local farms.
On January 5, 1990, Lowell was united in marriage to Becky Anderson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple made their home on their current farmstead outside of Marshall which Lowell purchased in 1975. The couple raised four daughters and spent the last 35 years of marriage together.
Lowell worked many years as a farmhand and assistant at several area farms, most recently for Guy Jeremiason of Minneota, Minnesota. Lowell loved his work and was very devoted to his occupation. He deeply cared for animals of all types both on the farm and at the zoo. His enjoyments in life included going out to eat with Becky and catching any Minnesota sport team event - either on TV or in person.
Lowell Siekmann died while working on July 20, 2025, in Woodstock, Minnesota. He reached the age of 69 years, 1 month, and 14 days. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Siekmann of Marshall; 4 daughters, Jennifer (and Jake) Adam of Waconia, Stephanie (and Gabe) Hernandez of Jacksonville, NC, Lindsay Siekmann of Burnsville, Erin Siekmann of Eugene, OR; 8 grandchildren and another on the way, Ellie Adam, Tobit Adam, Lucy Adam, Samantha Adam, Jameson Adam, Scarlett Hernandez, Gabe Hernandez, Faith Hernandez, and Mary Adam due next month; siblings, Larry Siekmann of Russell, David (and Connie) Siekmann of Menomonee Falls, WI, Ann (and John) Kelley of Tracy; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Merlene Siekmann, and a niece, Melissa Siekmann.
