Lucille Firanek Obituary

Lucille Ann Firanek 87, of Michigan City, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025. She was born May 28, 1938 in Porter to Frank and Rosalie (Hock) Firanek. Lucille is survived by her sister Alice Firanek of Westville, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her sister-in-law Jane Firanek of Westville. Preceding her in death are her parents, her sisters Olive Pradziad, Mary Janatik and Joan Jones, her brothers Edward and Albert; her sister-in-law Barbara Firanek, and her brother-in-laws Vernon Jones, Bruno Pradziad and Paul Janatik; and her significant other Harold Rodgers and his son Steve. Lucille was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis. For many years she worked as an office manager at Tom Tobin Real Estate Office. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 16th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis. Rev. Richard Kozak will celebrate the funeral mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Otis. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville.
