Lydia Spearman Obituary

Lydia Joyce (Rowe) Spearman, a 68-year-old resident of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Kennesaw, Georgia. She was born on April 11, 1957, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Ernest "Threed" Rowe and Jimmelena Marie (Baldrige) Rowe. Lydia graduated from Ketchum High School in 1975 and went on to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma earning her Associate of Arts Degree. She continued taking classes working toward her bachelor's degree. She had a successful career as an IT consultant, contributing her skills to various organizations before retiring. Lydia loved shopping, traveling with her beloved husband Jerry, and spending time with her close friends Arlene, Grant, Brian, and Christine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest "Threed" and Jimmelena Marie Rowe; her half-brother, James Rowe; and her sisters, Roselle Rowe and Edna Nadine Brookfield. Lydia is survived by her devoted husband of 18 years, Jerry Spearman of Woodstock, GA; her sisters, Linda Irene Edwards of Crowley, TX, and Marcia Rowe of Scottsdale, AZ; two nephews, Christopher James Brookfield of Vinita, OK, and Timothy Joseph Edwards and his wife Lashonda of Tulsa, OK; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Funeral Home, 121 Claremore Drive, Woodstock, GA. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA.
