Lynn "Myra" Marie Cooper, a long-time resident of Troy, MI, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, at Pomeroy Living in Rochester Hills, MI. Lynn was 86 years old.
Lynn was born on April 2, 1939, in Escanaba, MI to her parents, Forest and Mercedes DeMille. She spent her childhood in Escanaba and moved to Anchorville, MI where she graduated from St. Mary High School in 1957.
After graduation, Lynn moved to Detroit and started her career. After getting married in 1967, she joined the Tip Toppers Club of Detroit, a social organization for tall individuals.
Lynn retired from GMAC and continued her passion for gardening and travel. Lynn traveled to many countries, including Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Lynn is survived by her loving daughters, Candice Cooper and Carrie (Kevin) Foy; and by her cherished grandchildren, Gracie and Quinn Foy, who brought immense joy to her life. Lynn is also survived by her dear brother, Stephen DeMille.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 pm at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street in Clawson, MI. Lynn will be laid to rest at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, MI.
Lynn will be remembered for her work ethic, tenacity, and "never-give-up" attitude. Lynn lived her life by her personal mantra, "Tough times pass, tough people last."
