Weddle Funeral Service - StaytonLynn Irene Chaney Graham passed away on July 31, 2025 in Albany, Oregon. Lynn was born September 8, 1946 in Nyssa, Oregon to Horace Fields Chaney and Eliza Angeline “Angie” Gifford Chaney as the ninth of eleven children. She grew up on their ranch in the Lower Big Bend area of eastern Oregon near Adrian on the Snake River. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1964, served as Malheur County dairy princess, and graduated from Hollywood Beauty School in Caldwell Idaho as a cosmetologist.
Lynn met Roland Lynn “Pete” Graham at a bar in Nampa in November 1966. He kept her on the dance floor as he wasn’t sure he had enough to buy her a drink. Lynn and Pete married March 10, 1967 in Adrian Oregon. Lynn and Pete spent the next 56 years together moving a total of 26 times; much of that time following his work as a construction journeyman electrician. Most of their time was in Middleton, ID and Scio, OR. They most recently lived in Lebanon, OR to be closer to daughters and grandchildren. Pete preceded her in death in 2023.
Lynn was a daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, great grandma (Gigi) but most knew and loved her as Aunt Lynn. She loved to cook and bake and was great at it. She started decorating wedding cakes with her mom as a child. She owned a bakery “Lynn’s Cake and Bake” in Middleton Idaho. After moving to Albany Oregon in 1987 Lynn earned a certificate for office systems specialist and worked various jobs with her last job as manager of a hay compressing plant. Lynn and Pete volunteered with the Scio Buckaroos. Lynn was introduced to formal teas by her neighbor on Hungry Hill Rd Scio Oregon. Lynn gave many formal tea parties for family and friends with her beautiful china and wonderful food and desserts. Lynn collected formal china and tea sets, porcelain dolls and beloved carousel horses. Lynn and Pete moved to Caldwell Idaho in 2014 to spend time with their lifelong friend George Burger until his passing.
Lynn is survived by 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Children: Gail Jessett of Milwaukee, WI, Peggy (Wayne) Lewis, Jeannette (Chris) Campbell of Lebanon, OR; Ronald (Margaret) Graham of Kailua, HI and foster son Michael Wynne of Texas.
