Lynn Horaist Venable passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the age of 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Paul Mausoleum. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Saturday until time of departure for Services. Lynn graduated from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans, La in 1954 as a registered nurse. She worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Touro Infirmary and MD's office in NOLA, Baton Rouge General Hospital, Lake Wood Hospital in Morgan City, La, Opelousas General Hospital, Moosa Memorial Hospital, Savoy Medical Center in Mamou, La and Maison Deville Nursing Home in Opelousas, La. Her favorite service areas were the emergency room and obstetrics. Her titles included Staff Nurse, Head Nurse, Night Supervisor, ER Director, Outpatient Coordinator and Weekend Supervisor. Lynn is survived by four sons, Michael James LeBoeuf, Neil Joseph LeBoeuf, Marcus John Venable, Phillip Jude Venable; two daughters, Lisa Louise LeBoeuf Boston, Angelique Renee Venable; one brother, Joseph "Joey" Horaist; two sisters, Dell Jordan, Susan Castille; twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest "Jim" LeBoeuf; her second husband, Emar "Jay" Venable; her parents, Felix Warren Horaist, Sr. and Marie Delzorah Bernard Horaist; her step-mother, Helen D. Horaist; four brothers, Felix Horaist, Jr., Neal Horaist, Ronald "Ronnie" Horaist, Donald Horaist; one sister, Nell Pioth.
