Lynn Williams, age 86, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family. Lynn was born April 19, 1939, in Queen City, Texas, to Ernest F. and Pauline Griffin Williams. He retired from Guard Line and was a carpenter. Lynn was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church and was a former member of the Cystic Fibrosis Coon Hunters Club. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed coon and squirrel hunting in his younger years.
Lynn was preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy Emerson and Jo Durmon, and by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Glenda Williams; children, Caroll Williams and wife Sandy, Sissy Byrum and husband Scott, Danny Williams and wife Santa; brother, Eddie Williams; sisters, Maxine Vaughn, Virginia Griffin; thirteen grandchildren, David Williams (Amy), Amanda Bramblett(Russell), Crystal Williams, Melissa Yount(Coty), Dodger Williams, Jennifer Norris, Dashley Montoya(Christopher), Elizabeth Johnson(Blaze), Doodle Bug Williams(Todd), Josh Jones(Andrea), Jamie Sharry(Jamie), Ray Mahon, Stephen Cross; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Jimmy Clark and fishing buddy, Uncle Floyd Deloy; and a number of other relative and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Chris Woods, Bro. Billy Dupree and Russell Bramblett officiating.
Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery.
