Mack H. Reddin passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 93 at his home. He was born on July 2, 1932 in Mt Vernon, Texas to Hollis Reddin and Hazelle Capps Reddin.
Mack served his country with pride in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. He was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Following his Military Service he went to work for Lone Star Steel, where he remained for 43 years. During this time, he met and married the Love of his Life, Sandra Stephenson in 1961. They shared 64 years together. He became a member of the Lord's Church at Oak Grove in 1961 and was faithful until death.
He had a deep love for small engines, automobiles, sitting by a warm fire, and of course his grandchildren. He spent his free time working on lawn mowers for many of his friends and family. Whether it be a new car or a used lawnmower, he enjoyed the thrill of chasing a good deal. Many of these lawnmowers were not only used to cut grass but to also ride his grandbabies around for naps.
After retiring from Lone Star Steel he began working for Stagg Cattle Company as Property Manager and remained there until he decided to retire "again". He spent his remaining years at home with his loving wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Reddin.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Stephenson Reddin; daughter and son in law, Sheri and Terry Wood; daughter and son in law, Denise and Shayne Davis; Five Grandchildren; Holly Buck, Ethan Wood and Brittany, Chloe Garrison and Grant, Hunter Davis and Kaylee, Justin Wood and Meredith. Great Grandchildren; Case, Ellie, Caroline, Wade, Mack and Ty.
A graveside service will be held on Monday July 7, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the Pavillion at Forrest Lawn Memorial park.
