Services for Madeline Holman Barnes, 97, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Community Free Will Baptist Church in Pickett; Rev. John Henry Lippard will officiate.
Mrs. Barnes passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her home. She was born October 6, 1927, in Maud, OK to Zeb Jackson and Martha Mae Wade Jackson. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Leroy Holman and wife Carolyn of Ardmore and Fred Holman and wife Christi of Ada; three daughters, Donna Jean Wood and husband Lynn of Ada, Dr. Donna Price of Glenpool, OK, and Diana Golden and husband Randy of Ada; stepson, Mark Barnes and wife Brenda of Tahlequah, OK; one brother, Lee Jackson and wife Debbie of Fittstown; 14 grandchildren, Jeanna Scroggins and husband Paul of Ada, Kevin Wood and wife Shana of Ada, Brent Holman and wife Michelle of Wilson, Tia Willard and husband Matt of Cordell, Tara Burns and husband Jeremy of Ada, Rowdy Holman of Ada, Nathan Price and wife Amanda of Glenpool, Andrew and Chari Price of Glenpool, Angela Land of Glenpool, Amber Sawyer and husband Joshua of Stratford, Murray Golden and wife Nicole of Ada, and Kimberly Golden of Ada; 30 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; five step grandchildren, Chrischel Green, Amy Cool, Melissa Allen, Regina Kraft, and Jacob Barnes; numerous step great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Noble Holman and Lonnie Barnes; stepdaughter, Phyllis Schmidt; grandchildren, Brad Holman, Tracy Holman, Andrew Price; great grandson, Caleb Scroggins; nine brothers and sisters, Myrtle Pogue, Marie Madron, Mable NcNeil, Carl Jackson, Mamie Madron, Earl Jackson, Chuck Jackson, Harold Jackson, and Hansel Leon Jackson.
Bearers are Nathan Price, Murray Golden, Kevin Wood, Brent Holman, Jake Scroggins, and Carter Scroggins.
