She was born on January 21, 1931, in Pinesburg, MD, to the late Charles Edward and Sarah Jane (Timmons) McCauley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Palmer in June 4,1991.
Mae was employed by London Fog Hagerstown, MD until her retirement in 1993.
She was a member of Downsville Christian Church Downsville, MD.
She was a previous member of the Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocohontas Williamsport, MD.
Mae loved taking cruises. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by her daughter Diana L. Goetz and her husband David of Keedysville, MD; son Tom Palmer and his wife Cathy of Williamsport, MD; grandchildren Elizabeth Bright (Sam), Gina Stascavage, Jeffrey Riggs, Lacey Nave (Hunter), Tommy Palmer (Brett), and Tyler Palmer (Cassie); 6 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Marie Jackson, Leona Byers, and Frances Barnhart; brothers John E. McCauley, Jack L. McCauley, Sonny McCauley, Paul S. McCauley, Carl McCauley, and Sam McCauley.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD, on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:30 am with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.

It's never easy to say goodbye to a loved one. Knowing she has no pain and suffering I hope will bring you comfort .She is with the Lord and those that have gone before her to a beautiful place in Heaven.I pray God will be with the family and friends of Mae's and bring them comfort at this difficult time .
