In Loving Memory of Maggie L. Bell July 24, 1935 – July 5, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Maggie Bell, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 5th.

Maggie was born in Hazelhurst, Georgia, to the late Eula Mae and Elbert Lewis. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Madison, Georgia. Maggie loved Jesus, her family, and her

church deeply. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was a mighty prayer warrior.

Maggie was wife to William Bell Sr. for 50 happy years until his death. She is survived by her son, William Jr., and wife Rita of Hiawassee, Georgia, and granddaughter Amelia of Flowery Branch, Georgia. She is also survived by a sister and two brothers: Jimmie Plunk of Savannah, Georgia; Gerald Lewis of Hazelhurst, Georgia; and John Lewis of Huntsville, Alabama; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home
