49 year old, Mandy S. Bates, of Mulberry, Indiana, passed away on July 13, 2025.
On February 22, 1976, Mandy was born to Dennis Harris and Vivian (Bailey) Marlin, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1994. Mandy was an artist, who enjoyed sharing the beauty of art with others. She enjoyed painting murals, making and selling all sorts of crafts, and especially enjoyed a good clearance shopping spree.
Mandy is survived by her mother: Vivian (Gorden) Marlin, children: Amanda Martz, Ryann Lawson, Victoria (Evan) Rynearson, 5 grandchildren, and siblings: Brandon (Isma) Harris, Alisha Marlin, Marissa Marlin, and Elijah (Leah) Marlin.
Mandy was preceded in death by her father: Dennis Harris, husband: Timothy Bates, and sister: Chrystal Harris.
Per Mandy’s wishes cremation will take place.
A graveside service for Mandy will be held at 10:30 a.m. (CST) on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Independence Cemetery, 5037 County Rd 375 N, Rensselaer, IN 47978.
