Mara was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Young. Throughout their many years together, Arnold and Mara enjoyed raising flowers and gardening at their home and loved spending time with their granddaughter, nieces and other visitors. Mara was also preceded in death by her father Carl Studdard, mother, Agnes Studdard and brother Walter Studdard. She is survived by step-son, Roger Young, step-son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Wendy Young, granddaughter, Carson Young, nephew, Brian Studdard and his wife Jan, nieces, Laurel and Jillian Studdard, and many special caregivers, family and friends, including Becky Chandler and Jeannine Lareau.
A visitation and funeral service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont, Alabama on Friday, June 27 with visitation from 12:00-1:00 and the service at 1:00.
