Marcia Jane Faust Malmer, 81, of Austintown, Ohio, passed away Friday July 11, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born Steubenville, Ohio on September 16, 1943, and adopted at the age of seven by Harold and Sara Faust.

Marcia was a long-time, active member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown. She worked as a medical researcher at the Northeast Ohio Medical University, and retired after 29 years of service.

Marcia had many interests. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, quilting, sewing, cooking, reading, playing with her cats, and flower gardening. She was especially proud of the colorful kaleidoscope quilts that she created.

Marcia is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Ralph Arthur Malmer, who she married on January 23, 1964; a daughter, Lisa Malmer (Anne) Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Kasper Johnson and Bailey Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be announced later. Donations can be made in Marcia's name to the ACLU or the First Unitarian Universalist Church

Arrangements were entrusted to the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio. 330-652-2422
