Margaret "Bobbie" Campbell Crocker, 83, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 9, 1942, in Marion County, South Carolina, Bobbie was raised by her beloved parents, Pearl and Newton Campbell. A radiant soul with a heart for everyone she met, Bobbie lived a life full of love, laughter, and service. She never met a stranger-everyone was family in her eyes. Bobbie was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Clayburne "Ray" Crocker; her cherished grandson, Justin Callihan; and her siblings Earl, Oliver, Dottie, Hazel, Harriett, Mel, Judy, and Betty. Bobbie is survived by her three loving daughters: Carol Jolley and her husband David; Bobbie Stanley; and Vickie Callihan and her partner Steve Matzgannis. Bobbie was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Andrew Jolley and his wife LaTerra; Zachary Jolley and his wife Shalini; Rachel Liberty and her husband Dillon; Matthew Suddith and his partner Jennifer Winn; Jesse Stanley; Melissa Callihan; Nichole Lawton and her husband Chris; and the late Justin Callihan. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Amari, Aniyah, Ava, Ana, Zai, Zoa, Hanna, Angelo, and Audrey. Affectionately known as "GMA" not only to her own family but to countless others, Bobbie had a warmth that drew people in and made them feel at home. She hosted Sunday family lunches at 1 p.m. every week, where all were welcome-no invitation needed. Bobbie loved dancing and was always the life of the party. Social, joyful, and endlessly kind, she was a proud member of Cornerstone Church of God. She also found joy and purpose as the "Queen B" of her Red Hat Society chapter and as a member of the Lions Club, where she gave back to her community with passion and grace. In 2024, Bobbie was crowned Ballentine Prom Queen-a title that suited her perfectly, as her vibrant spirit and joyful heart shone wherever she went. For over 20 years, Bobbie owned and operated Taylor Burgess Hair Salon in Wards Corner, where her skill as a hairdresser was matched only by her ability to listen, encourage, and uplift. Even after clients could no longer come to her, Bobbie went to them-volunteering her time and talents at Ballentine and the Talbott on Granby to care for those she loved. Bobbie's love for her family, friends, fur babies, and community was immeasurable. Her legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with joy by all who were lucky enough to know her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00am at Cornerstone Church of God located at 465 Glenrock Road Norfolk, VA 23502. Cremation and Funeral Services of Tidewater is handling the arrangements.
