Margaret Robbins Henderson, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 6, 2025. She was born on July 19, 1927, in Iredell County. Margaret lived a life filled with devotion to her family and community, exemplifying the values of love and kindness.
A high school graduate, Margaret dedicated her career to the textile manufacturing industry, where she retired as an inspector. Her meticulous nature and commitment to quality left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her. Beyond her professional achievements, Margaret was a cherished member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, sharing her love of old gospel hymns with the congregation.
Throughout her life, Margaret cultivated a profound love for flower gardening and maintaining her lawn. She found joy in cooking, baking, and sewing, often delighting her family with her culinary creations. A passionate reader, she had a particular affinity for the Bible, which was a guiding light in her life.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Barbara Henderson Holland (Steve Harris), and her son, Gilbert Steven Henderson. She took great pride in her grandchildren: Brian Holland (Rachel), Adam Holland, Samuel Henderson, and Caroline Henderson Morgan (Christopher). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brooke, Tyson Holland, and Delilah Morgan, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert S. Henderson; her father, Earl Robbins; her mother, Ila Robbins; her sister, Florence Cox; and her brother, Noah Robbins.
A graveside service to honor Margaret's life will be held on March 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, NC. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
