Margaret E. Rice of Palmyra, NY, 1953-2025.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Cecelia Bernadine, her ex-husband, Randy Rice, and her sister, Cecelia Nevil.
She was a middle child of eight; we can't quite recall where she is in the lineup, but she is definitely there. Born in Clifton Springs, raised on the mean streets of Marion, supervised by everyone who knew the Nevils. Marg was creative and artistic from a young age, as evidenced by an Easter mural that still can't be painted over today at Union St., Marion.
She graduated from Newark High School in 1972 and married Randy Rice of Waterloo in 1975.
She worked for the University of Rochester for over twenty years, retiring in 2021. Margie loved Halloween, fishing, arts & crafts, pro wrestling, reading, and spending time with her family--especially her nieces and nephews.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Jessica Rice, and oodles of other relatives.
She was a devoted mother, favorite aunt, loving sister, caring daughter, and trustworthy friend. She is already sorely missed and will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th at Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc. from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Committal prayers will be held following visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
