Margarita F. Utley Obituary

Margarita F. Utley, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the age of 88.  Margarita was a devoted Christian woman, known for her loving, caring, and giving nature. She was a firm believer in Father God and lived her life with a deep understanding of those around her.

Margarita was born on October 13, 1935, and throughout her life, she found joy in spending time with her family and taking care of her home. She had a passion for cooking and cleaning, with her specialty being homemade tortillas. One of the fondest memories her loved ones have of her is the big family meals she used to prepare on Sundays, bringing everyone together around the table.

She is now reunited in heaven with her husband Ernesto G. Utley; children Delma Utley, Noelia Utley, Mario F. Utley; and siblings Octavio Flores, Lucila Cadriel, Otilia Zamora.

Margarita is survived by her children, Hector Utley (Yolanda), Carmen U. Espino (Noe), Thelma Utley, Omar Utley (Amelia); grandchildren Noe Espino, Jr., Hector "Hecky" Utley, Jr., Darius Wallace, Iliana Mikayla Utley; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Her presence will be deeply missed but the memories she created will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

The family will condolences on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a chapel service to begin at 12:00 p.m.  A rite of committal and interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

In loving memory of Margarita F. Utley - a kind soul who touched the hearts of many with her warmth and generosity. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved deeply by all who had the privilege to know her.
