Margie Standridge Obituary

Margie Brannon Standridge 81, of Acworth, Georgia formerly of Murphy passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her residence. She was a native of the Unaka community and graduated from Unaka School. Margie moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked for Southern Bell for over 31 years. She met her husband, Jimmy in Atlanta where they were married and raised a family. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia.
Margie loved to garden, raising vegetables, and sharing them with her friends and neighbors. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished every moment with her grandkids.
She was the daughter of the late Ernie Lloyd and Dovie Allen Brannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Giddens, and eight siblings.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin Locklear and husband, George, and Debbie Maddox; a sister, Ruth Murphy; and three grandchildren, Hannah Maddox, Cody Maddox, and Jacob Locklear all of Acworth, Georgia.
A graveside service was held at 2 pm Monday, July 21, 2025 at Unaka Community Cemetery.
