Mrs. Gowins was born May 28, 1952, in Franklin County, MS and passed from this life on July 16, 2025, in Ferriday, LA at the age of 73, after a lengthy illness. She had a love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Helen Bullen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Irene Gowins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years, John Sidney Gowins; her son, Matthew Gowins and wife, Savana; her grandson, James Gowins; her brothers, Lucian Bullen, Jr. and wife, Mary Sue, Robert Bullen and wife, Laura; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
