Margurite Leota Allsup, 88, Hamilton, MO, passed away on July 6, 2025, at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab. in Gallatin, MO. Margurite lived in Caldwell County almost all of her life.
Margurite was born on February 5, 1937, in Kidder, MO, to Teddy and Lillie (Patterson) Milligan. She graduated from J.C. Penney High School in Hamilton in 1956. She was employed for over 40 years at the Stride Rite Shoe Factory, Hamilton, which later became Midwest Glove and she retired and began babysitting her grandchildren in 2001.
Margurite loved to shop! She shopped every Saturday for everything but especially liked clothing. She enjoyed making candy for her family and friends and she also made excellent German Chocolate cakes. Taking trips with her sisters was also something she loved to do. She was just a real people person who loved people and babysitting kids---especially babies. The most important thing to Margurite was her family and grandkids---she cherished time she spent with them. She attended all of their events and activities.
Margurite married Charles "Charley" Allsup on June 14, 1963, in Hamilton, MO. Charley just preceded her in death in March. Also preceding Margurite in death were her parents; her brothers-Lawrence Bradford Milligan, Charles Milligan, Sam Milligan, and Albert Milligan; her sisters-Jessie Gilby and Mary Lou Leach; and her dog, Peanut.
Survivors who will miss her dearly include her son-Ryan (Megan) Allsup, Kidder, MO; 3 grandchildren-Atison Leigh Allsup, Rylan Thomas Allsup, and Becker Wain Allsup; her siblings-Nancy Milligan, Frances Bradley, Sharon (Pop) Bradley, and Connie (Steve) Puterbaugh; her dog, Skippy; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
