In Loving Memory of Marieu Ballina
August 1973 – July 2025
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
It is with deep sorrow and abiding faith that we announce the passing of Marieu Ballina, a beloved daughter, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend, who returned to her Creator in July 2025 at the age of 51.
Born in August 1973, Marieu lived a life marked by quiet compassion, unwavering devotion, and gentle strength. Her soul radiated kindness, especially to those who needed it most. For many years, she served as a teacher's aide, dedicating her days to helping children with learning difficulties. With endless patience and a tender heart, she uplifted those in her care, ensuring that every child felt seen, understood, and loved.
Marieu's love extended beyond the classroom. Her family was her joy, especially her cousins and aunts, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She nurtured those relationships with laughter, empathy, and endless affection. Her generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, and her presence was a source of warmth and comfort.
She was also a faithful friend to God's creatures, most especially her cherished cat, Eliott, who brought her immeasurable comfort and companionship through the years.
Marieu is survived by her loving parents, her sister, and her nieces and nephews. Though our hearts grieve her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, held in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace.
A celebration of her life and faith will be held on Tuesday, July 15th, at 2pm
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
