Maria "Cuca" Del Refugio Ramos, 91, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, in Harlingen, TX. She was born on November 14, 1933, in Willamar, TX, to the late Modesto L. Caballero and Dominga Garcia Caballero. She graduated from San Perlita High School in 1953.
She is survived by her sons, Oscar Ramos (Melinda) from Harlingen, Texas and Johnny Joe Ramos (Rebecca) from Harlingen, Texas, her daughter, Norma L. Goetzel (Jimmy) from Sinton, Texas, her sisters, Lala Ramos from Willamar, Texas and Eva Caballero from Willamar, Texas, her grandchildren, Emily (Lucas) Lang, Veronica Ramos, Christopher (D'Andrea) Goetzel, Melanie Ramos, and Bryanna Ramos, her great grandchildren, Brenley Salazar, Jensen Goetzel, Levi Lang, Tucker Lang, and Evan Lang.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Juan M. Ramos, her parents, Modesto & Dominga Caballero, her sisters, Mary Caballero, Lousia Caballero and Estella Flores, and her brother, Dan Caballero.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ruben Flores, Christopher Goetzel, Lucas Lang, Danny Ramos, Pete Ramos, and Rigo Ramos.
Maria "Cuca" was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments. She will be truly missed by her loving family.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford. Interment will follow to her final place of rest next to her loving husband at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
