Born on November 21, 1961, in Victorville, California, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Cristina Arguelles. A proud graduate of La Plata High School, Class of 1982, Maria continued her education by earning an Associate's Degree. She dedicated many years of service as a Federal Government employee with the U.S. Geological Survey, part of the Department of the Interior, before retiring.
Maria was active in her community and a dedicated member of both Weight Watchers and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, supporting breast cancer awareness. She had a passion for crafting, cooking Italian cuisine, and caring for her cherished Collie-Mix dog, Roma. A devout Catholic, Maria found strength and peace through her faith and was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown.
She is survived by her loving brothers, Johnny M. Arguelles (Jennifer) and Salvatore F. Arguelles (Pamela); nephews Justin, Michael, Nicholas, Carter, Luca, and Bodie; and niece Penelope. Maria's kindness, devotion to her family, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family Service will be held at a later date.
