Marilyn Clayton, 66, of Henryville, IN passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at

Kindred Hospital Louisville surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on September 14, 1958, in New Albany, IN, to the late John and Stella

Maxine Berry and later adopted by Henry F. Moore, SR after his marriage to Maxine.

She was a 1976 graduate of New Albany High School. On June 25, 1977, she married

Anthony Clayton and together they had two children, Joseph and Kristy. She will be

remembered as being stubborn, outspoken, and strong-willed.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony; daughter, Kristy (Allan) Crawford, four

grandchildren: Tyler, Ava, Barrett, and Amelia; two sisters: Sharon (Ronald) Rose and

Dorothy Christian. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Clayton and

brother, Henry Moore, JR.

Pastor David Gurnsey will conduct funeral services will be on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Henryville, IN with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025, and again on

Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation by going to alpha1.org.

Marilyn was one of a kind. She was a true person as I would say. She meant what she said when she said it and you have to trust and respect that.
I was not aware that she was sick and I am so sorry.
I still remember her though. I´m sending her kisses and hugs right now. God better be ready for you sweetheart. He might enjoy that sassiness you have. I love you, sweetie.
